Dynamic strain gauge is an instrument used to measure material and structural changes, through the resistance strain gauges affixed to the surface of the specimen to detect the strain. One of the bridge is the change in strain gauge resistance is translated into a current or voltage signal, dynamic strain signal has the characteristics of rapid change, this paper focuses on high-resolution GX1274 hardware and software 100% replacement ADS1274 for the program.
The GX1274 is a 4-channel synchronous sampling 24-bit Δ - Σ analog-to-digital converter, support up to 144kSPS data sampling rate, the ability to input analog signals are extremely fine quantization, effectively improving the accuracy of the measurement and the resolution of the system.

Four modes to choose from: High-speed (HS) mode, the fastest, with a 37MHz clock up to 144kSps, -3dB bandwidth of 70kHz; high-precision (HR) mode, the highest accuracy, SNR up to 111.7dB, THD up to -122.9dB, and power consumption of only 20.8mW/channel; low-power (LP) mode, with the same output rate as HR mode, but power consumption is almost halved; low-power (LP) mode, with the same output rate as HR mode, but power consumption is almost halved; low power (LP) mode, with the same output rate as HR mode, but power consumption is almost halved; low power (LP) mode, with the same output rate as HR mode. Low Power (LP) mode, the output rate is the same as HR mode, but the power consumption is almost halved; Low Speed (LS) mode, which is suitable for low-speed acquisition, the power consumption is as low as 2.7mW/channel. The chip is directly controlled by PIN pins and does not require compilation of registers, making it easy for customers to use.
Very low in-band noise power is achieved by using a high-order multi-bit Delta-sigma modulator, shaping the in-band noise and filtering it out with an on-chip digital extraction filter. Two types of on-chip digital filters are available: a high-bandwidth FIR filter with an effective bandwidth of 90.6% of the Nyquist bandwidth and an in-band ripple of less than ±0.005dB, and a low-delay SINC filter that produces a stable data output within 6 cycles and has better noise performance. Its characteristics are as follows:
- 8-channel synchronized sampling with data rates up to 144kSps
- High-bandwidth FIR filters with optional low-delay SINC filters
- Low power consumption: HS mode: 34.0mW/channel;
HR mode: 20.8mW/channel;
LP mode: 10.9mW/channel;
LS mode: 2.7mW/channel;
- Rail-to-Rail Input Common Mode Level
- Common mode rejection ratio: 116dB
- Analog power supply 5V; Digital power supply 1.8V
- IO power supply: 1.8V~3.3V
- SPI or frame synchronization interface, support daisy chain mode
- ESD level: HBM ±2kV, CDM ±2kV; Latch-up ±600mA
- Operating temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
